I love the name of the article "inventing the future". It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes "history will be kind to me because I intend to write it." (Churchill).
The author gives many examples about changes in education driven by tech. But the two subjects that I most support are the blended approach of tech and face to face; and not letting the tail wag the dog. We need to meet our students where they are and help them use the best tools to learn and be successful.
Technology is just one of our many tools for the student to use in writing their own history.
Dennis, I couldn't agree with you more. I think that, in terms of technology, our biggest responsibility is to use it to help make their education better/more relevant/more personal/etc, and just using it for its own sake isn't the way to make that happen.
